¿Cual es el problema?
En República Dominicana, el 41% de la población vive por debajo de la línea de pobreza. (1)
Las escuelas públicas cuentan con escasos recursos (apenas un 2,5% del PIB se destina a educación). (2)
Los niños tienen poco o ningún acceso a programas extraescolares, es probable que abandonen la escuela y se involucren en el abuso de sustancias, lo que limita dramáticamente sus oportunidades profesionales y su éxito futuro.

¿Por qué los chicos?

Los niños necesitan orientación para madurar y convertirse en hombres, esposos y padres responsables.

Para que las niñas dominicanas puedan superar los roles estereotipados necesitan el apoyo de los niños y los hombres.

Ya existe un programa establecido y bien financiado para niñas.
Al final, la familia se trata de vivir juntos y aspirar a alcanzar objetivos comunes.

Boys lack positive role models and guidance, making it essential to provide them with support and skills training they need to succeed in life.
Since 2015, InspireDR has provided free after-school programs that teach life skills and values, guiding more than 200 boys in the Dominican Republic to become responsible men, husbands and fathers.
The results? Life-changing transformations.
But we want to do more.
Our waiting list has more than 70 boys ready to join the program—With your support, we can change even more lives.
Thanks to InspireDR, I got a scholarship to Isla Academy, an international school. Now, I'm working with InspireDR as a project assistant, further developing my business skills.
